Bridge the Gap is a 2-hour, trauma-informed workshop designed to strengthen collaboration between families and school teams.
Rooted in emotional intelligence and built around real-life Missouri case studies, this experience equips participants to:
-Understand common conflict triggers in school-family communication
-Rebuild trust through better documentation and shared language
-Improve problem-solving during IEP, 504, behavior, and general education challenges
This is not about blame.
It’s about building bridges with students at the center.
-General education teachers
-Special education staff and case managers
-School counselors and administrators
-Parent liaisons, care teams, and family navigators
-Families seeking to be more effective and empowered partners
Each session brings both sides together to practice collaborative language, deescalation tools, and reflective listening with time for Q&A and discussion.
-Practical tools for reframing conflict as opportunity
-Documentation strategies that support clarity, not confusion
-How to build capacity for emotionally charged conversations
-Legal compliance without losing human connection
-Real examples of Missouri families, educators, and school teams navigating hard conversations and getting better outcomes
-In-person or virtual
-School-hosted PD (1.5–2 hours)
-Family night or community partnership
-Co-presented with our school partners or parent organizations
We tailor the session to the audience so everyone walks away with something they can use tomorrow.
